And the winner is...
We look back at an inspirational day with a spirit of exchange, linking up, sharing of ideas in a relaxed ambiance at the Dierenpark Amersfoort.
The winning concept was presented by John Loke, from Ecoenergy. (Netherlands/Colombia). It concerns decentralized electrification through biogas production from Euphorbia tirucalli (ET). ET is a low input plant that grows well in dry areas. The jury was pleased to learn that to further promote and develop his concept he made use of so-called 'crowd sourcing'. FACT will continue with the other nominees as well, to see how we can develop their ideas.
The FACT Innovation Award is a chance to present your concept on biofuel and bioenergy to a professional jury, get in touch with investors and to win a money price. In the past months practitioners in biofuels and bioenergy were invited to submit innovative ideas. People across the world responded to this invitation and a professional jury is currently judging the contributions. The best 5 concepts were nominated for the FACT Innovation Award.
The first FACT Innovation Award was presented on April 13, 2012.
